| We sold 2269 head this week. Buyers are wanting 45 day weaned calves and the prices reflected that this week; They want them right off the cow or 45 days weaned, 10 days to 2 weeks they are shying away from. Backgrounded calves were a full 15 to 20 cents higher on the fancy kind. There has been a huge temperature change in the Panhandle as much as 40 to 50 degree swing from morning to afternoon and the calves that have been short weaned are breaking.
